(Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, March 3rd) – VICTOR and the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have entered into a six-year partnership making VICTOR the official badminton racket, footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Malaysian National Badminton Team through 2021.

 

 

The partnership, which marks VICTOR’s third National Team program after the Korean and Pilipino National Teams, begins on March 1, 2015 and includes event sponsorships, most notably in the Maybank Malaysia Open Superseries Premier. VICTOR will also provide the team and coaching staff with full training kit and a range of badminton accessories.

The Malaysian National Badminton Team is one of the most popular and successful teams in the world. Drawing on their men’s doubles prowess especially, they have fourteen Thomas Cup finals’ appearances, second best among all countries, most recently in 2014 after tremendous performances by Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong, who remained undefeated in their five matches.

 

The Badminton Association of Malaysia joins the impressive roster of VICTOR partners including the Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC) and some of the world’s best players such as Lee Yong Dae, Liliyana Natsir, Tontowi Ahmad, Boonsak Ponsana, and Tai Tzu Ying.
